Episode 9- "Cut the Head Off the Snake"

At the beginning of this week's episode, several people are relieved that Corinne is gone, while Reynold is just thankful it wasn't him. Phillip also inducts Sherri into Stealth R Us under the name Tenacity.

At the reward challenge, the tribe divides into two teams of five leaving Sherri to sit out after not being picked. Four members of each team had to throw balls at a goal in the water which was defended by the fifth member of the other team. The first team to score four points won the opportunity to rappel down a waterfall to a picnic lunch. The purple team, comprised of Michael, Eddie, Reynold, Erik, and Cochran managed to beat Malcolm on defense to win the challenge.

As they celebrated their victory, they discussed the possibility of them being a final 5 alliance. Cochran acts willing to join them, but I believe it was just an act, and that he will eventually relay this information to Phillip.

Back at camp, Malcolm starts to work for the final 5 by trying to recruit the people at the bottom of the pecking order. Phillip finds out his plan, and begins plotting to blindside him. Our latest showmance starts to form after Andrea and Eddie spend some alone time in the lagoon discussing the game. I kind of enjoy the new Romeo and Juliet-like twist in the game. If they would start to trust each other more and trust their current alliances less, they could be a force in this stage of the game.

The immunity challenge was simple. Float under a steel grate while the tide is rising until you can't breathe anymore. When all was said and done, Brenda held on for the win.

After returning to camp, Malcolm discusses plans to eliminate Andrea. Eddie tells her, which causes her to rethink her plan to try and eliminate Malcolm this round. She decides that eliminating Michael would be less consequential.

At Tribal council, Michael still believes that the fans are the main targets, even though it was a fave to go previously. Then, Phillip starts discussing Stealth R Us to humorous lengths. After the votes are cast, Reynold starts to use his idol, when at the last moment Malcolm convinces him to use it on him. This was absolutely brilliant on his part because no one knows he already has one. The idol was wasted, though, because in the end it was seven votes for Michael, three votes for Andrea, and one for Reynold. Michael is eliminated and becomes the first member of the jury.

What do you think? Do you agree or disagree with me? Feel free to leave a comment at the end of the post. Also, don't forget to vote in the weekly poll! Until next time, the tribe is outspoken.
