Episode 4- "Kill or Be Killed"

As Gota returns from their latest Tribal Council, Reynold and Eddie vent their frustration of being lied to twice and convinced that Shamar was next to go. They decide that Reynold is protected by his idol, and that Eddie is most likely the next to go.

At Bikal, Stealth R Us continues to grow, as Phillip invites Brandon and Brenda to join them. Andrea becomes jealous because she's the only member of the tribe to not have a nickname bestowed upon her. In my opinion, Phillip doesn't realize that the rest of the tribe isn't taking him seriously, and is playing it off as a big joke.

At the reward challenge, the chance to win a local bringing food to their camp to teach them how to survive entices all of the players. The tribes had to transport two of their members on platforms across the water. They then had to fit all eight members onto one small platform to win. It was dead even through the challenge. Matt, however, was unable to lift his foot up onto the platform, causing to favorites to win. Shamar accidentally joins in the celebration believing Gota had won the challenge.

Later on at Bikal, a bushman named Tata teaches the tribe how to cook rice in a bamboo shoot. He then improves their shelter, and dances with every girl in the camp.

Things get closer to a breaking point at Gota. Reynold and Eddie raise a fuss about how weak Laura is in the challenges. The tribe unanimously decides that Shamar is going too far by demanding the rest of the tribe serves him rice in the shelter.  While he's laying there, Shamar gets a piece of sand in his eye which scratches his cornea and forces the medics to pull him from the game. The rest of the tribe feels bad about how he had to go, but they're thankful he's not there creating tension anymore.

At the immunity challenge, the tribes had to retrieve keys hanging from tiles over the water. They then took the 5 keys to open 3 locks on a chest full of sandbags. Finally, they use the sandbags to knock blocks off of a railing. Bikal took an early lead when Sherri failed to retrieve her key on the first try. The fans almost made a comeback, but fall a mere five blocks short of winning.

Back at Gota, Matt brings up the inconvenient truth that Laura should go instead of Eddie if they stand a chance of winning a challenge. Sherri is uncomfortable about that idea, trying to convince people they still need to split the vote between Eddie and Reynold to flush out the idol.

At Tribal Council, the tribe shares their relief that Shamar isn't around to create extra drama. The debate over whether they want to do what's best for the tribe or best for the alliance comes into question. Eddie declares that this Tribal Council is make or break for the tribe, which is definitely true. After the votes are cast, Reynold plays his idol, not trusting that Matt and Michael stuck to their original plan to oust Laura. In the end, one vote was cast against Reynold, while the rest of the tribe finally showed some unity by casting 6 votes to eliminate Laura.

I feel that Matt took the biggest charge to make a step in the right direction for the tribe by making their alliance realize that they were too worried about their own games and not enough about working as a unified force to actually win something. I have a feeling that we're going to see a whole new side of Gota soon. Bikal is still going strong, but I think that even they'll have a breaking point soon. We'll just have to wait and see what happens!
